A few more finished projects.

Socks for the birthday boy. Early childhood is over!
Gnarled Oakwoods, in Hedgehog Fibres merino cashmere in Damned Nation. Gorgeous yarn!
Scarf for the birthday boy. Cascade Heritage handpaints.
Laceweight scarf for my sister. Viola merino lace and Gossamer Web silk cashmere merino lace. So soft and lovely!

I knit the sleeves for this sweater in a tube, then cut them open and seamed them. This boy outgrew the last two sweaters I knit for him before I finished them, so I made this one a few sizes too large, so he could grow into it. I think my plan succeeded. The blue/black is Teksrena Knitting wool, and the white is Harrisville Designs New England Shetland. Great yarn!

Permafrost

This is Permafrost from Cascade Yarns. It's knit in two skeins of Cascade Eco+. It's best to enlarge the photo. the dress isn't blocked yet, but I had to get a photo like this because I love the shape of the waist where the ribbing changes to stockinette. This took only four days to knit, probably about 900 yards.
The pattern is simple, but not as clearly written as it could be, and I think it may have errors in it, but the idea is so simple that most people will do the right thing in spite of the pattern.
