The challenge was to combine two very different fibers, one of my choosing, one sent to me by another person. The fiber on the left is one ounce of SW BFL from Fat Cat Knits, in "Frog and Carp", n-ply, 40 yard. On the right is one ounce of Polwarth Silk from Friends in Fiber, in "Cranberry Bog," n-ply, 55 yard. In the center is the challenge yarn, 1 oz of each fiber, plied together. 2-ply, 175 yards.
The singles were spun on a Jenkins Egret, a Turkish style spindle. I plied on the Hitchhiker.
