Charlie Brown and Tilly

So, I was feeling a bit down earlier this week, because even though we have a lovely Christmas gift in our new puppy,  we were not going to have a tree because of said puppy--just too much commotion, all things considered. Well some lovely ladies from Ravelry sent me this little Charlie Brown Christmas tree--what a wonderful surprise. top photo: action shot of Gavyn jumping up and down in excitement, while Fintan wonders how his sister is working that camera. Second photo: Dante was the most disappointed by the prospect of no tree, and you can see how he's really trying not to jump up and down like Gavyn is.  Then, two attempts to show the two best things about Christmas this year.

Crochet hat for Christmas

I made this hat for my mother in law. I made one just like it several years ago, creating the  pattern based on a hat my grandmother made that is so warm and cozy I just love it. This is snug and warm and stretchy, and perfect. Brown Sheep Naturespun superwash worsted.

Scarf woven with Sanguine Gryphon Bugga in Bess Beetle.

And socks and mitts for Christmas. I'm halfway done the hat for this set, then I'll have only three sets to go. These are knit with Lamb's Pride Superwash worsted, the yarn is doubled for the mitts.

We are getting a puppy in my house! I know it's going to be quite a bit of work, and an initial investment in time and money, so I'm going to sell some of my yarns to make room in my head and purse for our new friend. The pups were born two days ago, and ours will come home just before Christmas!  Link to my Rav stash page, for details on the yarns. Not on Rav? Just e-mail me, and I'll fill you in.
